Easing Children’s Anxiety at the Eye Clinic: A Parent’s Guide
A visit to the eye clinic can be an overwhelming experience for children. Here are some tips to ease children’s anxiety before and during their visit.
We can’t believe that one year has already passed since we opened our new state-of-the-art consulting rooms and operating suite in Takapuna, North Shore.
It has proven to be an incredibly valuable addition to our main clinic based in Remuera, by providing residents who live north of the harbour bridge much more convenient access to our full range of ophthalmic services.
In particular, our laser vision correction assessment clinic has received incredibly high demand, and as a result we have increased the number of laser clinics at Takapuna from once fortnightly to every Wednesday morning and at least one Wednesday afternoon each month.
In another move to ensure we continue to meet local demand for our services, the number of Auckland Eye doctors practicing at North Shore has increased recently from six to seven and appointments are available from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Auckland Eye doctors working from the premises include Dr Stuart Carroll, Dr Dean Corbett, Dr Archie McGeorge, Dr Yvonne Ng, Dr Sue Ormonde, Dr Alison Pereira and now also Dr Shenton Chew.
To make an appointment, you can either call our main booking line on 09 529 2480 or book online at www.aucklandeye.co.nz
We look forward to welcoming you to Auckland Eye North Shore. Even though it’s a year down the line we are still very proud of the modern, comfortable space we have developed for our valued patients.
